She Inspires Me

Australia

I’m searching for Australia’s most inspiring women.

Who are they, what do they do and why are they inspiring?

They stand as the pillars of our community, the unsung heroes who tackle inequality, foster innovation, and serve as an inspiration to others.

We celebrate the contributions and achievements women make in our community on our social media and website. You can find out more about this initiative here.

#tellyourstory

Our #tellyourstory initiative focuses on social issues impacting women in our community who have overcome diversity and have gone on to inspire and provide hope to others facing similar circumstances.

By sharing our stories, we can raise awareness, create change within our community, and influence Government at the State and National levels. You can find out more about our highly successful initiative here

Our Founder

Our story begins with our founder Michelle Boundy who has been working in Government for over 30 years supporting our community’s most vulnerable people. She is highly regarded and respected in Government and has initiated two wellbeing reforms across two (2) Governments winning multiple awards for enhancing the wellbeing of thousands of workers across the country.

Outside of her role in Government Michelle has been a strong advocate for young people and it was through this work she was endorsed as the Integral Community Kindness Champion for the Stay Kind Foundation. During Covid 19, Michelle initiated several highly successful community projects that raised significant funds for local charities and was mentioned in the NSW Parliament for her contribution to her community.

On International Women’s Day in March 2023, Michelle launched She Inspires Me and since then she has traveled all over Australia meeting thousands of women and sharing hundreds of stories which she then shared on her social media and website. Michelle received messages from people over the world, who found the stories inspiring and gave them hope in their circumstances. You can find out more here

R U OK? Day

Our founder Michelle Boundy has been a R U OK? Workplace Ambassador for many years. This year she proudly support R U OK? Day initiative and we encourage others to get involved.R U OK? is a national suicide prevention charity and registered public health promotion that encourages people to stay connected and have conversations that can help others through difficult times. Our work focuses on building the motivation, confidence and skills of the help-giver – the person who can have a meaningful conversation with someone who is struggling with life. R U OK? contributes to suicide prevention efforts by encouraging people to invest more time in their personal relationships and building the capacity of informal support networks – friends, family and colleagues - to be alert to those around them, have a conversation if they identify signs of distress or difficulty and connect someone to appropriate support, long before they're in crisis.
